Background

The Strathspey Badger Hide, near Boat of Garten, was set up in 1996.    The purpose of the hide is to provide badger enthusiasts and conservationists of all ages with the chance to watch wild badgers at close quarters.   

Funding

The hide was originally built with the help of funds from Scottish Natural Heritage.   It is maintained from the donations made by visitors to the hide which for the current year are suggested as follows:

Adults - £5

Children and OAPs - no charge. 

Groups - please phone and haggle.

Surplus funds are used to help worthy wildlife causes. The main beneficiaries are the Boat of Garten Wildlife Group and Scottish Badgers.

Availability

The hide is open from 1st March to 15th June and 15th July to 15th November inclusive.
